I spent my teens and 20's fat and depressed.  At one point I got up to 300 pounds in weight.  When I was 28, I tried to kill myself because I hated everything about my life.  After that, I decided to scrap everything and start over because I NEVER wanted to feel that way again. 

This is the cornerstone of my new life philosophy:  If nothing you do has worked, try something else.  The key is to try anything and everything, especially things you (only think) you can't or shouldn't do.  The reality is that no one is going to stop you, except you.

In truth, I really did kill myself that day.  The person I am today is beyond the wildest hopes and dreams of the sad girl I used to be.    I'm still fat, and I still suffer from depression, but I am getting better every day.

Before, I didn't think happiness was possible.  Now, I am happy a good chunk of the time.  I hope that I can somehow share some of the things that have worked for me on my path in these pages.
